HIL 2016 – Delhi face consecutive defeats as Punjab thrashes them at home
Delhi Waveriders faced second their consecutive home defeats. The hosts who defeated Punjab Warriors in their opening game in Chandigarh lost out to the same team 2-5 today in the return leg. With this win Punjab Warriors now share the third place in the points table (17 points) with Kalinga Lancers and Delhi Waveriders.

HIL 2016 – Sandeep wins it for Ranchi against former team Punjab
In what was a rematch of last year's final, Ranchi came out on top once again as Sandeep Singh scored the deciding goal from a penalty corner against his former team. The 5-4 win puts Ranchi back at the top of the table, as Punjab suffered their second home defeat of the season.

HIL 2016: Punjab Warriors heap more misery on Dabang Mumbai
Punjab Warriors bounced back from their defeat against Delhi Waveriders, with a convincing 3-1 win over Dabang Mumbai at Mohali on Sunday. Stat of the day: Mumbai have now lost 26 of the 34 matches they have played since the start of the Hockey India League in 2013.

Rupinder Pal Singh converted two penalty corners as Delhi Wave Riders produced a convincing 5-4 win over Punjab Warriors. Despite the tight scoreline, Delhi dominated most of the game, as their aggressive tactics caught Punjab flat-footed.

HIL : Punjab off to winning start against defending champions Ranchi
Punjab Warriors avenged their defeat in the final of the 2015 Hockey India League (HIL) with a 2-0 win over defending champions Ranchi Rays at Mohali. Jacob Whetton's goal in the first quarter proved to be the winner, in a match where Barry Dancer, Punjab's coach, 'out-tactic'ed Ranchi and India Junior coach Harendra Singh.
