After a thrilling win last night, Gujarat Fortunegiants skipper Sunil Kumar emphasised on the importance of experienced players like GB More in the team. Gujarat won 31-26 against Dabang Delhi and the skipper also talked about how More’s thigh hold at a crucial moment helped them win in the match.
Gujarat Fortunegiants is at the second position in the points table with 15 points and a point difference of 48. They have won three out of their three encounters till now. Gujarat won its first two matches quite comfortably and that too with a big lead but last night’s match was tough a one for them. However, in the end, they emerged victorious against a well-balanced Dabang Delhi unit. Â
Gujarat showcased an all-round performance where both the defence and raiding worked well for them and seemed to be in perfect synchronization. The highest points scored in the whole match for Gujarat was by More and he has emerged as one of the most dependable players for them. He scored five points in raiding without getting out even once and he scored four points in defence as well. With him getting in form Gujarat looks like a complete side in the ongoing tournament.

Having players like More G B on the mat is very crucial because he guides us during matches and tells us what to expect next from the raiders. So, More G B helped us a lot in this win as well. He executed a thigh hold on Naveen Kumar at an important juncture, which gave us the momentum for the win,” Gujarat skipper Sunil Kumar said in the post-match press conference.Â
