Prasanna praises Ashwin-Jadeja combination; questions Jayant's abilities
Former Indian spinner Erapalli Prasanna has heaped praise on Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra calling the Tamil Nadu offie as “the world's best spinner”. Prasanna did, however, question the abilities of Jayant Yadav stating that the 26-year-old Delhi-lad was not cut out for Test cricket.
In the recently concluded Test series against England, Ashwin was India’s most lethal wicket-taker picking up 28 wickets in the five-match series. The all-rounder was pretty handy with the bat as well scoring 304 runs. While Prasanna appreciated the apparent talent that Ashwin possesses, he did have a suggestion of his own for the 30-year-old.
"There is no doubt that Ashwin is the best striker bowler we have. He is the best spinner in the world now," Prasanna told PTI.

Prasanna explained the importance of Ravindra Jadeja in the team.
"We also largely need to direct our success to Ravindra Jadeja because he kept one end tight (against England). These two have largely contributed to our series win against England," the 76-year-old explained.
"Now Jadeja has come to a stage wherein he can read the mind of batsmen and turn out to be a strike bowling match winner."
However, the
"If you really ask me (about) Jayant Yadav, I do not think he will be able to bowl long spells at all. He is a useful batsman for T20 or one-day matches and he can bowl good four overs in these two formats. He has already proved that in the longer version of the game, he is not a strike bowler.
