BCCI keen to know the names of cricketers in Mudgal report
After receiving a lot of flak from the Supreme Court for dilly-dallying on the Lodha committee recommendations, the BCCI is now keen to know the names of 10 others mentioned in the Mudgal committee report. The committee had submitted a list of 13 names to the Supreme Court back in 2014.
The three-member panel, headed by retired Punjab and Haryana HC chief justice Mukul Mudgal submitted the list of 13 names after investigating the betting and spot-fixing scandal in the IPL. Only three out of the 13 names mentioned in the report have come out in the open and according to a report in the Times of India, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is now keen on knowing the rest of the 10 names in the report.
"We want those names to come out. Why were those names not made public? It's, after all, a Supreme Court-appointed committee. Fans should know all the names which appeared in the Justice Mudgal's probe report," a BCCI official told TOI on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing hearing in the Supreme Court, senior advocate Gopal Subramanium told the bench headed by Chief Justice TS Thakur and Justice FMI Kalifulla that the BCCI is doing public service, thus making it subject to the rule of law.
