What has been common knowledge for everyone else for quite sometime has finally found its way to the source. Epiphany struck cricketer Hardik Pandya today as he appears to have realized that cricket may not be his cup of chai and is making an early-career switch into acting.

Limelight has never shied away from the Pandya. The earlier series of comic books on his life were an instant success. Titled 'Bal Pandya', the series showed how he, as a young kid in Baroda, used to smash bowlers twice his age when he was 6 years old, how as a 10-year old he once swam into a pond to retrieve the cricket ball from a crocodile's jaws, and how he took the Gujarat cricket team from the bottom of the table to Ranji champions for three years in a row while still being under-age.

But now he has decided Bollywood deserves a shot at him and has accepted a biopic about his illustrious cricketing career. “Initially, I was skeptical. You know how shy I am, but the producers convinced me that my story needed to be told, that it will inspire crores of aspiring cricketers across India. I had no choice but to accept,” said the humble cricketer.

Asked what pushed him to make the decision to retire from cricket though, Hardik had this to say, “See. That over against Bangladesh in the T20 WC was obviously a fluke. I tried to bowl a length ball, and it became a full toss. I bowled a length ball and it went short. I think those Bangladesh batsmen were just scared looking at me running in and gave away the match.

“But here in cinema, it is so easy. If I bowl a wide, the director can just call 'Cut', and I can do it again. And again. I will actually look like a good bowler. And anyways, life is all about second chances. And third chances. And fourth chances, ya. Only Rohit Sharma does not know that”. (Quite evident he is hurting from being dropped from MI)

“Also you see, acting is not as tough as cricket. Sachin's son is still struggling. Rohan Gavaskar is commentating in Ranji matches. But look at all these Kapoors and Khans. If Abhishek Bachchan can act, I can. And then I can come back and buy the Mumbai Indians team instead of just being one more player”.

Asked to talk about the movie, he said, “RGV is the director. I wont tell you the heroine, but it's definitely not Anushka. And I have some epic dialogues in the movie - “Hardik Pandya is such a great death bowler that I can bowl out death itself”, “Hardik Pandya can bowl one yorker, take out all ten batsmen, and then the ball will hit the stumps”. Adding on, “I know. Even I can't wait for it to be released,” he said while jumping in excitement.

Finally, trashing rumors that he is eyeing a role as the next Bond, Pandya said, “Pandya. Hardik Pandya sounds cool only. But I want to give back to this country, and I want to do it now. But I am not dismissing other plans also. H for Hardik. H for Hollywood also see, ♥ ♥!” said the diplomatic youngster.P.S: If you have not realized by now, this is part of 'satire' series and the story is not true. Do share and fool others.
