BCCI officials need to be tied and lashed, tweets Justice Markandey Katju
Former Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju has tweeted his searing view on the entire Lodha-BCCI issue by stating that the officials of the Indian Cricket board should be tied naked and lashed. The irony in the statement is that Katju had been hired by the BCCI as an advisor for the Lodha committee.
The Lodha-BCCI spat seems to turn a new corner
In a matter of a few hours, the Lodha committee came back firing – they outright dismissing any interference in the day-to-day running of the cash-rich board and said that the series should go on.
However, in an unexpected instance, the BCCI's advisor in the Lodha implementation, Justice Markandey Katju today came out with a tweet against his current employers. The retired Supreme Court Justice tweeted, “This treatment isn't enough.
This treatment isnt enough. Aisan na manahin. Lodha shud get BCCI officials tied naked to a pole & given 100 lashes each on their behinds

The 70-year-old had previously called the Supreme Court’s judgement on the BCCI reforms as “unconstitutional and illegal” in
On August 7th, while speaking
“There is a broad separation of functions. It's the legislature's prerogative to make laws. If judiciary starts making laws, one is setting a dangerous precedent.”
"I have advised them [the BCCI] to file a review petition before a larger bench. In this case, the Supreme Court outsourced a committee to decide on BCCI's punishment," Justice Katju had said.
However, everything does not appear to have gone well between the two. In September, BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke had reportedly rejected a report that the former Supreme Court justice had prepared for the BCCI to be forwarded to the committee, reported ToI last month.
