Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah displayed his fielding brilliance to dismiss English opener Alex Hales with an accurate throw from about 70 odd meters. Funnily, Hales was at the non-striker's end and could have easily raced back for two, but watching the ball for a long time cost him his wicket.

In a short international career that began in 2016, Jasprit Bumrah has been applauded for his accuracy in bowling Yorkers consistently, but his wayward fielding has been under the scanner since his first tour Down Under. But in the first ODI against England at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, Bumrah dismissed English opener Alex Hales with an accurate throw from about 70 odd meters.

Despite losing the toss, England started on a positive note and added 39 runs for the first wicket within first six overs. In the seventh over, which was bowled by Umesh Yadav, Roy tucked an in-swinging delivery to the backward square leg region and called his partner Alex Hales to pick a couple of runs. Although it seemed like an easy two on first sight, Bumrah rushed to the ball from fine leg and fired it in.

Hales hesitated initially, but, after getting the call from his partner Roy, he started running the second run, but couldn't reach the crease in time.

At the time of this report, England were on 110/2, with left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja dismissing Jason Roy for 73.
