Anil Kumble's letter to BCCI for Champions Trophy participation could land him in trouble
Anil Kumbleâs letter to the BCCI sharing the teamâs interest in participating in the ICC Champions Trophy in England next month hasnât gone down well with senior officials who felt it was BCCI's call. An unnamed BCCI official said the letter that the India coach wrote could land him in trouble.

Uncertainty looms large over Indiaâs participation in the Champions Trophy after the BCCI missed the April 25 deadline for naming the 15-man squad. Although the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) are against the withdrawal, the BCCI emphasized that it was in Indian cricketâs best interest to issue a notice to the International Cricket Council with regard to the breach of the Members Participation Agreement.Â
Meanwhile, Kumble has written a letter to the board on the teamâs interest to play the global event.Â
