Pakistan have made a name for themselves by pulling off some hilarious moments as well as pure inspirational moments on the field. Against Sri Lanka, today, Wahab Riaz showcased an example of the former as he missed his run-up five times in a row which left even their coach Micky Arthur frustrated.

Pakistan added Riaz to the team in place of seamer Hassan Ali, the leading wicket-taker of the ICC Champions Trophy, who was rested due to a side strain. But from the very start of the day, Riaz struggled to get into any sort of rhythm and in the 111th over of innings, even failed to get his run-up right - not once but five times in a row.

Bowling from over the wicket, Riaz was smashed for a boundary to the cover fence on the first ball of the over. After bowling three dot balls, Riaz produced an incredible passage of play that left the everyone from his teammates, to his opponents, to the fans frustrated. Riaz ran up to bowl the fifth delivery but missed his run-up and took the long walk back. He ran in again and the same thing happened again. He walked back to his spot, came in running for a third time but failed to find the crease and pulled out at the last moment. As the camera panned to skipper Sarfraz Khan and coach Arthur, both looked visibly disgruntled.

But Riaz wasn't done yet and went on to miss the run-up two more times. The fourth one, however, was the charm as it forced Arther to get off his chair and get out of the vision of a camera. In his sixth attempt, he was able to release the ball perfectly and landed in the short of length area which Dimuth Karunaratne left for the wicket-keeper. He went on to complete his over and, surprisingly, was given another couple in the same spell before the teams decided to break for tea.
