Twitter reacts as Ikram Ali Khil's brilliant innings goes in vain after Afghanistan lose to West Indies
Afghanistan had a brilliant start to their chase with Ikram Ali Khil and Rahmat Shah made the chase look very easy but after they perished the Afghanistan batsmen couldn't continue to what those two started. Twitterati were surprised after finding out Ikram had been down the order all this while.
Brief scores: West Indies 311/6 in 50 overs (Shai Hope 77, Evin Lewis 58, Nicholas Pooran 58; Dawlat Zadran 2/73, Rashid Khan 1/52) beat Afghanistan 288/10 in 50 overs ( Ikram Ali Khil 86, Rahmat Shah 62; Carlos Brathwaite 4/63, Kemar Roach 3/37 ) by 23 runs
Indeed the future looks bright for Afghanistan!
Will they be build a batting unit around Rahmat shah, Ikram Ali Khil and Hashmatulla shahidi to support their bowling though? Afghanistan's future in cricket may depend on that.

What an achievement by this kid!
Brilliant knock by Ikram Ali khil, who just missed out his Maiden 💯 & also on becoming the first-ever teenage World Cup centurion. But he breaks Sachin sir (81) highest teenage record 👏

Afganistan should invest more on Ikram Ali....such a talented youngster who can shoulder his country in the long run and embark his country to the cricket World Map

He took it with both hands!
Always loved watching Rahmat Shah. Touch of class about him. But how good has young Ikram Ali Khil been! Got a chance to bat at no 3 and said thank you I'll take it!

Another record for the youngster!
Ikram Ali Khil becomes the first batsman to score a @cricketworldcup 50 to be born in the 21st Century - he is just 18 years old and was born in September 2000 #CWC19

He's proved this guy wrong today!
Is Ikram Ali Khil really a No. 3 batsman? He's got a career average and strike-rate of 13.40 and 37.43 respectively. #WIvAFG #CWC19

Wonder how much he will score if he opens!
This guy Ikram Ali Khil batting on 84
— Ankit Mishra (@editedidea) July 4, 2019
was coming in to bat around No.8 at the start
Possibly even the team had no clue what to do with him
He batted at 4 vs Pakistan scored 24 and looks good to get a hundred in a chase vs Windies now.
Savour this moment Ikram!
