ICC World Cup 2019 | We can beat any team in the world, claims Mickey Arthur
Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur backed his talented side to step up their game as he claimed that Pakistan are capable of beating any top team if they play to their full potential. Pakistan meet bitter rivals India in their next World Cup match at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground on Sunday.
The matches between Pakistan and India are a huge affair in international, especially in ICC tournaments on the big stage. The case is no different at the ongoing ICC World Cup being played in England & Wales as the two arch enemies are slated to go up against each other on Sunday at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground on Sunday.
While India will definitely enter the tie as favourites, Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur remains confident in his team on the eve of tomorrow's crucial encounter. Arthur claimed that if Pakistan play to their full potential, they are capable of beating any team in the world.
“If we put three disciplines together, we can beat anyone in the world. We haven’t put a perfect game yet, we are confident of displaying perfect cricketing skills. If we put it all together, we are a good cricket team,” Arthur told reporters at the pre-match conference.
Arthur added that it will be difficult to rattle the Indian top-order but if Pakistan will be able to do so then they would pose a challenge to their Asian neighbours.
“When you get into Indian top-order, you can wreak havoc. It’s paramount to rattle the Indian top-order, otherwise, they can hurt you. (Shoaib) Malik brings a lot of experience in our dressing room. I hope his skills and experience do wonders for us tomorrow. Experienced players can help the youngsters in our team,” Arthur added.
