WATCH | Venkatesh Iyer’s double batted shot lands straight into the dugout at fine leg

India all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer hit a double batted shot against West Indies in the second T20I of the three-match series. The boundary went to square leg into the dugout and played a knock of 33 runs from 18 balls studded with four boundaries and a six as India won the game by eight runs.

India are playing a three-match T20I series against West Indies currently. They have taken a 2-0 lead in the series winning the second match by eight runs. West Indies opted to bowl first and India posted a total of 186/5. Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant scored half-centuries while Venkatesh Iyer played a important knock of 33 runs from 18 balls. 

A bizarre incident occurred during Iyer’s stay at the crease. He played a double batted shot in the 16th over towards fine-leg on bowling of Sheldon Cottrell. The shot went for a four straight into the dugout where Indian players were sitting. Rohit Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal were seen moving away from the trajectory of the shot.
