The game between Glamorgan and Gloucestershire ended in a historic tie in Cheltenham. Chasing 593 runs, Glamorgan put up a great show with Marnus Labuschagne scoring 119 off 165 balls and Sam Northeast’s 187 off 277 balls but it was Ajeet Dale’s thrilling over which changed the course of the game.

‌Glamorgan had a strong start with the ball in the first innings, winning the toss and restricting Gloucestershire to 179. In reply, Glamorgan struggled as they were bundled out for 197, with Beau Webster claiming a five-wicket haul, giving Gloucestershire an 18-run lead. However, the game took a dramatic turn in the second innings when Gloucestershire posted an impressive 610/5, thanks to James Bracey's 204 off 231 balls. Chasing a target of 593 runs, Glamorgan openers Edward Byrom and Billy Root set a solid foundation initially. Additionally,  key contributions came from Marnus Labuschagne who scored 119 off 165 balls and Sam Northeast making 187 off 277 balls, taking Glamorgan to 544/8. The match reached a thrilling climax as Glamorgan needed two runs off the final six balls.

With the game seemingly in Glamorgan's favour, Mason Crane faced Gloucestershire pacer Ajeet Dale. The first ball was a full-length delivery that Crane defended with a swift jump on the backfoot. The second ball was a fullish delivery and was hit towards mid-wicket but was caught by a fielder, denying a run. With two needed from four balls, Dale bowled a straight delivery that Crane drove back to the bowler. The fourth ball was a wide delivery smacked towards cover, but the fielder was quick to stop it. Glamorgan's frustration grew as they needed two runs from the last two balls.

Crane then pushed the next ball towards deep mid-wicket, taking a single and bringing Jamie McIlroy to face the final delivery. With one run needed, Dale delivered a brilliant outswinger. McIlroy aimed for a six, but the ball swung, catching the edge of his bat. Wicketkeeper James Bracey, initially adjusting to the left, made a swift jump to his right, taking a brilliant catch. The game ended in a historic tie, with Dale's sensational last over leaving the players and fans in awe.
