When luck is on your side, everything seems to fall into place effortlessly. Yashasvi Jaiswal not only impressed with a remarkable century on the third day of the Border Gavaskar trophy at Perth but also benefited from a fortunate boundary that left Pat Cummins in disbelief and frustrated.

‌India resumed their innings strongly, with KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal extending their lead to 191/0, highlighted by Jaiswal’s brilliant century. Mitchell Starc eventually broke the 201-run stand, dismissing Rahul, but Devdutt Padikkal joined Jaiswal to continue building momentum, taking the score to 275/1 by lunch. Australia struck immediately after the break, with Padikkal falling to Hazlewood on the first ball. Despite this, Virat Kohli and Jaiswal carried on, with Jaiswal reaching a splendid 150 to solidify India’s commanding position. Amidst Australia’s growing frustration to witness India’s lead, Pat Cummins looked in disbelief when luck favoured Jaiswal.

On the fifth ball of the 91st over, Pat Cummins delivered a back-of-a-length ball around the leg stump, which Jaiswal attempted to glance down to fine leg. The ball brushed his gloves and sped past wicketkeeper Alex Carey, who dived full-length but couldn’t stop it from racing to the boundary. Cummins, visibly frustrated, held his head in disbelief as luck continued to favour Jaiswal. Meanwhile, Twitter erupted with admiration for Jaiswal's batting skills and the fortunate turn of events.
