The hosts decided the moment was ripe to bring in Musheer Khan as an emergency Impact Player with the hops of stemming the collapse and putting a substantial target on the board. Little did they realize that Virat Kohli was patiently watching, ready to make an impact even before he came out to bat in the chase.

Suyash began his endeavour to dismiss Musheer with two googlies on length that the youngster comfortably contended with, enough to make Kohli pitch in with some advice. The veteran alerted his skipper that Musheer Khan is prone to playing the sweep and that could get him in trouble, words that Suyash clung onto as he looped the next ball up. As predicted by Kohli, Musheer went down on one knee and swing his bat across but the Kookaburra just skidded straight, hitting the batter on the pad and ending his stay.
