Gary Neville accuses Romelu Lukaku of unprofessionalism
Manchester United legend Gary Neville has slammed Romelu Lukaku for not possessing the proper mind-set to represent one of the biggest clubs in the world. The Belgian star is headed to Inter Milan in a transfer that could reach the €74 million mark, satisfying Antonio Conte's long-time wish.
The end of Romelu Lukaku's transfer saga is finally over as he's leaving after Manchester United and Inter Milan come to an agreement. The 26-year-old is already in Italy for his medical ahead of a move to the San Siro. But while they might be a few sad faces, there is one Manchester United legend that's incredibly happy to watch him depart.
Former defender and now pundit, Gary Neville was overjoyed and couldn’t stop himself from saying as such. "Andy he admitted he was overweight! He is over 100kg! He's a Manchester United player! He will score goals and do well at Inter Milan but unprofessionalism is contagious."
The former player wished him luck in Italy but ultimately thinks this is the right move for the club, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team is going through a rebuild. The Red Devils have already added Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire this summer, letting go of Romelu Lukaku, Antonio Valencia, James Wilson and Ander Herrera this summer.
However, Lukaku has been desperate for a move to Italy this summer, one that that would see him leave Old Trafford, and was seen training with one of his old clubs, Anderlecht FC.
