Team India's up and coming striker Farukh Choudhary has been ruled out from the final of the SAFF Championship on Saturday, owing to a knee injury. The 24-year-old so has played 14 games in his career so far, and scored one goal, but in quick time has become a vital cog in the team.

India skipper Sunil Chhetri has opened up about his future and made it clear that he doesn't have much time left with the Indian team. As for the future, Chhetri has his hopes pinned on forward Manvir Singh, Apuia, Rahim Ali, Anirudh Thapa and Liston Colaco, to do the scoring for India.

India scripted their first win in the ongoing 2021 SAFF Championships, with the help of a late goal from skipper Sunil Chhetri at the national stadium, in Male, on Sunday. With the win, the Blue Tigers are now at the third spot in the league table, with five points from three matches.

Indian football team head coach Igor Stimac feels that his boys need to be committed and disciplined to fetch a win against Nepal in their upcoming match in the 2021 SAFF Championships. The Blue Tigers are yet to win a match in the competition, having drawn against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
