No hotspot during DRS trial in India–England Test series
The Hotspot technology will not be present in the DRS package which will be used during the upcoming Test series between India and England starting from November 9. The reason appears to be the delay in transporting the hardware required for HotSpot, which would take at least until mid-November.
The BCCI had, finally, decided to deploy the Decision Review System (DRS), in toto, in the forthcoming Test series between India and England. The system will be implemented on a trial basis to evaluate the improvements made to the system by the Hawkeye. In the meeting with the ICC and the Hawkeye officials, the improvements made to the system were further evaluated by the BCCI team, who were satisfied that most of the concerns and suggestions that were expressed by BCCI over a period of time, were addressed to a significant extent.
