Supreme Court to 'Lords' of BCCI : Fall in line otherwise we will make you fall in line
After the Lodha Panel accused the BCCI of defying the apex court's orders in its status report, the Supreme Court has pulled up the BCCI and has asked them to 'fall in line' on Wednesday. The panel also blasted the BCCI for 'bringing the system to disrepute' and 'behaving like Lords'.
The Lodha panel, led by Justice R M Lodha, had sought the removal of Anurag Thakur and all the top board members of the BCCI from the helm of the organization after accusing the BCCI of defying court's order in its report.
“BCCI is not replying to emails and other communications sent to them and repeatedly defying the orders of the court,” Lodha panel's counsel appearing in front of the court had said, reported TOI.
On Wednesday, a bench headed by Chief Justice T S Thakur took note of the report by the Lodha panel and rebuked the BCCI for its inaction.
