With the advancement of technology, subtle intricacies on the field are minutely captured further helping to eradicate the errors. In the encounter between Pakistan and South Africa, Imran Tahir was left embarrassed after celebrating the catch but the replays suggested otherwise.

Pakistan openers were battling it out and scoring runs at a brisk pace. The pitch had enough help for the batsmen, which was being rightly exploited by them. South Africa, on the other hand, were trying their best to get an early wicket but remained unsuccessful so far.

On the second delivery of the 11th over, Fakhar Zaman pulled a short delivery to deep mid-wicket, where Imran Tahir was stationed. It was a brilliant effort by the leggie, who charged in and took a blinder. The celebration was in trademark Tahir style and it looked like South Africa have finally got the breakthrough. But the on-field umpires didn’t look convinced and reviewed the decision with the soft signal being not-out. The replays didn’t have enough evidence to overturn the on-field decision as a result of which, Zaman was ruled not out.

The decision left Tahir heart-broken and embarrassed at the same time as it was a terrific attempt and deserved a wicket. With the surface being conducive for batting, Pakistan look good for a massive total and their openers have provided the perfect platform.
