Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque has admitted that the 2-0 crushing at the hands of neighbours India has been very disappointing for everyone in the Bangladesh team. With both matches ending in no more than five days combined, Bangladesh offered little to no resistance to India’s dominance.

Having granted India a shock defeat in the opening T20I — the first match of the tour — it seemed like the visitors might put up a fight worth their reputation against the mighty Men in Blue. But less than three weeks down the line, the pink Test ending in a little more than two days play  the gaping holes within their team are more evident than ever before.

“Definitely a bit concerned and it's very disappointing for everyone. We have to learn from the last two games and not repeat mistakes. I think the Pink Ball was challenging especially because it moved a lot with the new ball,” Haque said at the post-match presentation, reported Cricbuzz.

Bangladesh may well point out that they were coming into the series on the back of a 'players vs board' crisis and their two senior players, Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan, missing from the squad. But in the end, the verdict is clear and it will be down to the odd bright sparks like Ebadat Hossain and Liton Das to carry the baton forward.

“If I look back, there were positives. Ebadot bowled really well and Mushy (bhai) and Liton showed what they can do with the bat. Indore was a dry wicket and I don't think it would make any difference whether we batted first or bowled first,” Haque added.
