The brand new 100-ball format is set to make its debut next year and ECB has released the reserve price of the 570 players who will be up for grabs at the main draft. Chris Gayle, David Warner, Steve Smith, Lasith Malinga and Kagiso Rabada have registered with the highest base price of £125,000.

The eight teams have already picked up three players for their roster while the teams will rope in 12 more players each during the main draft. Currently, all the franchises have the services of a centrally contracted English red-ball player and two more local icons.

Stalwarts of modern-day cricket Steve Smith, David Warner, Mitchell Starc, Lasith Malinga, Chris Gayle and Kagiso Rabada have set their price at £ 125,000, the highest pay range. On the other hand, the highest pay range of the domestic players has been set at £ 60,000. This pay range features World Cup winner Mark Wood with fellow Englishmen Joe Denly, Liam Livingstone and Samit Patel.

Each team will be able to rope in two players from each of the following pay brackets: £125,000, £100,000, £75,000, £60,000, £50,000, £40,000 and £30,000. After the six overseas players listed at £125,000, there are 17 with reserve prices of £100,000, 13 at £75,000, 15 at £60,000, 21 at £50,000, 46 at £40,000 and the rest with no reserve price. The captains will get a bonus of £10,000, but the players who don't match their reserve price won't be picked.

The list of domestic players also includes the foreign players playing County cricket as domestic players. The highest amongst them is veteran Proteas pacer Morne Morkel, who has set a reserve price of £50,000. The head coaches will have 100 seconds to make each call as they will be permitted to call two players in each round.

The women's teams won't be having any such draft as they will be allowed to fill the remaining spots of their roster before May 30. Each franchise right now has the services of two centrally contracted English women. They will be allowed to secure the services of one more contracted England player along with three overseas players while the rest of the squad will consist of domestic players.
