IND vs SA Women | BCCI announces unchanged XI for final two T20Is
The BCCI have announced an unchanged Indian squad for the final two women’s Twenty20 Internationals against South Africa to be played in Surat. While India are currently leading the five-match series 1-0 after the second T20I was washed out, the Africans will try to pull one back today.
South Africa fell just 11 runs short of India's score in the first match of the series, where experienced Mignon du Preez stood out with her half-century on the slow track of the Lalabhai Contractor Stadium in Surat. With the visitors seeming out of depth, India have a solid chance of winning the series and in order to bring their T20 form back on track, India named an unchanged squad for the final two matches of the series.
“The All-India Women’s Selection Committee has decided that there will be no change in India Women’s T20I squad for the final two Paytm T20Is against South Africa Women. The team was initially picked for the first three T20Is of the ongoing five-match series in Surat,” the BCCI said in a statement.
The hosts are leading the series 1-0 after the second T20I was washed out and the third T20I will be played in Surat on Sunday, while the fourth and final final match of the series will take place on October 1 and 4. If South Africa fail to win the game today, then their hopes of winning the series will be quashed along with that.
Indian women’s squad for 4th and 5th T20Is: Harmanpreet Kaur (Captain), Smriti Mandhana (vice-captain), Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, Taniya Bhatia (wicket-keeper), Poonam Yadav, Shikha Pandey, Arundhati Reddy, Pooja Vastrakar, Radha Yadav, Veda Krishnamurthy, Harleen Deol, Anuja Patil, Shafali Verma, Mansi Joshi.
