Indian Premier League has become more than just a cricket league, it has established itself as a platform where dreams come true. In recent years, it has become a benchmark to select players for the national team. Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Manish Pandey, and the list goes on, have become a household name courtesy to IPL. Hence, this year too people are picking young players who have shown some potential on the domestic circuit, backing them to take the cash-rich league by storm.

“Looking forward to see three youngsters prosper this ipl season 1) @yashasvi_j @rajasthanroyals 2) Ravi bishnoi @lionsdenkxip 3) Abdul Samad @SunRisers I’m sure all three will do well for their respective franchise also players to watch out for Indian cricket.whats your pick?” Pathan tweeted.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravi Bishnoi were stars of India’s U-19 World Cup campaign in which the team reached the finals of the tournament, before going down to Bangladesh. Jaiswal has made a name for himself in domestic cricket as an opener and it will be great to see him bat for the Rajasthan Royals.

Ravi Bishnoi is a leg spinner who impressed various cricket pandits with the use of his googly. It will be a huge learning curve for him as he will bowl alongside the likes of Afghan youngster Mujeeb Ur Rahman. The third player on Pathan’s list, Abdul Samad, who plays for J&K, averages close to 40 in his maiden first-class season. He has a strike rate of 136.36 and a prolific average of 40 in domestic T20 matches. Pathan has been associated with Samad during his short stint with the Jammu and Kashmir team in domestic cricket. Although it will be interesting to see if he can break into the playing XI at Sunrisers Hyderabad.
