ENG vs IND | Twitter on the edge as Rishabh Pant replaced by Dhruv Jurel after injuring finger
Indian vice-captain Rishabh Pant suffered an injury scare after trying to stop a delivery down the leg side against England in the third Test at Lord’s. The wicketkeeper got hit on his finger during the second session, with physios attending to him before being replaced by Dhruv Jurel.

India tried to make the best of their good start, drying up the runs once play resumed as Joe Root and Ollie Pope adopted a cautious approach. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj were on the money, conceding just eight runs in the first eight overs. Just as India looked to tighten things further, the unfortunate incident occurred.
Indian vice-captain Rishabh Pant got hit on his finger while trying to stop a Bumrah delivery that went down the leg in the 34th over. The wicketkeeper-batter seemed in some discomfort as physios attended to him with the team management sending back-up keeper Dhruv Jurel for his warm-up rounds immediately.
Though Pant kept wickets for the next five balls to complete the over, he could not take further part in proceedings with Jurel walking in with the big gloves. Twitter was on the edge as the significant moment unfolded and fans anxiously waited to get further updates. With the series all square at 1-1, Pant is expected to play a key role with the bat too.

Badly need him
We badly need Vice-Captain Rishabh Pant both as a wicket-keeper and as a batter because he is an important asset to the team. His hand injury is a concern, hope it's not too serious.

Near Fatal
Rishabh pant is one of the greatest batsmen who has played this game. After his near fatal accident India must not make him keep or we will loose both the great batsman and keeper. Play him as a pure play batsman from the next match. #ENGvIND
