After their win against Tamil Thalaivas, Randhir Singh said that he was sure of that right after the Bulls got a good start in the first half. After picking up 17 points in the game, Pawan credited the coach for his performance and said that the scolding from Randhir helped him do well.

After losing to Gujarat Fortunegiants in their first home game, Bengaluru Bulls won their second against Tamil Thalaivas on Sunday. Their two raiders Pawan Sehrawat and skipper Rohit Kumar had a good start to the game. Although most of the points came in the second half of the match, both Rohit and Pawan looked confident in the beginning and according to coach Randhir Singh, he was also confident of a win because of the two raiders.

“I was very sure we are going to win because Pawan and Rohit did well in the starting and if they do well, then my faith in them increases. As I know, Pawan is taking points in the starting so he will take points in the second half. Though the defence was not as good as I expected but they did a super tackle plus and did well in a defence of 5 as well. So it was a better match than yesterday. Everyone wanted to win as it is our home ground and everyone wants us to do well here,” Randhir said during the post-match press conference.

Pawan was the star among the four top raiders in both the teams and he ended the game with 17 points in total. A lot was expected from his after a poor start to the Bengaluru leg against Gujarat yesterday and he lived up to that. Pawan credited his coach and also revealed the interaction between him and coach Randhir after their first game.

“Coach scolded me nicely yesterday. My 17 points today is my coach’s points. As three points were also mine that coach was answering the questions. He was the one being asked about the three points that Pawan scored and now when I score 17 points it is not all me, the credit goes to the coach as well. I can’t score all the 17 points alone so sir has a big role in it,” Pawan explained.

Amit Sheoran, the left corner defender, also had a good evening on the mat as he completed his High 5. The Bulls’ defence was doing good earlier as well but all eyes were on Saurabh Nandal and Mahender Singh, however, today was different with the points coming from the left side through the tackles by Sheoran. The coach expressed his delight over the performance of his defence in the game as well.

“I scolded him as well last night (laughs) because of his yesterday’s performance. I told him that ‘you are a high five player and this is not you.’ And it is good for Kabaddi that new young players come in like Saurabh Nandal, Mahender and Amit and even Mohit. He will do good in future and I tell them to give their 100 % and they didn’t do that in the last match. Wins and losses happen and that's a part of the game only,” the Bulls’ coach signed off.
