India’s shooting contingent has been a huge boost on paper with comeback of former World Champion and six-time Asian champion Manavjit Singh Sandhu one week ahead of the event. Apart from Sandhu, the return of Asian champion Angad Vir Singh Bajwa in men’s skeet team would also help.

Five-time Commonwealth game participant Manavjit Singh Sandhu is hoping to return home to Ferozepur with a medal from 2018 Gold Coast CWG in the trap event at the tournament. Sandhu added that his work in training will give him the edge over his opponents in the trap event.

Indian trap shooter Seema Tomar registered her second best finish in a World Cup on Saturday as she finished fifth in the women's trap event at the ISSF Shotgun World Cup in San Marino. In the men’s trap event, Kynan Chenai and Manavjit Singh Sandhu finished 24th and 38th respectively.
