At age of 102, Indian athlete Man Kaur clinches gold at World Masters Athletics Championships

Indian female athlete Man Kaur has clinched a gold medal in 200m event at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Malaga, Spain. Prior to this achievement, Man had also clinched a gold medal in the 100m event at the World Masters Games, held at Auckland, New Zealand.

The woman from Punjab started her career at the age of 93 and currently is the oldest female athlete in the country. Kaur's recent achievement has made her a source of inspiration for many. At the World Masters Athletics Championships held in Malaga, Spain, Kaur bagged a gold medal in the 200m event conducted for the age group of 100-104.

As per the report by History TV 18, Man derived her motivation from her 78-year-old son - Guru Dev, who also takes part in the World Masters Games. The tournament is similar to Olympics for the senior citizens throughout the world.

According to her son, she has never faced any health issues in the course of her career. As 'History TV 18’ shared video about her life and career in athletics, Kaur has been appreciated by many for her remarkable achievement at the championships.

“When she ran for the first time, she completed a 100 metres track in one minute and one second,” Guru Dev told 'History TV 18’.
