Jasprit Bumrah is becoming a legend for his skills as much for his ability to bowl no-balls at the crucial junctures of the game. While Ishant Sharma is also a master of bowling no-balls, he pulled off a Bumrah by dismissing Aaron Finch on a no-ball and in the process, gave Australia a reprieve.

In his three-year-long international career, Bumrah has bowled no-balls at some crucial stages of the game, with the most iconic one being the no-ball bowled to Fakhar Zaman in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final which India lost. The bowler was guilty of bowling a no-ball in the 2018 IPL as well for the Mumbai Indians, in the match against Rajasthan Royals. However, it seems like he is teaching the basics of the same to his bowling partner Ishant Sharma as well.

After India set a target of 323 runs for Australia in the first Test of the series, Ishant started the innings with a length ball on off, which kicked up on Finch who got the ball high on the bat in defence. It was a wonderful initiation for Ishant and one that was a perfect set-up for the Aussie opener.

On the second ball of the innings, Ishant bowled an inswinger which caught Finch off guard and he got himself into a terrible position by planting his front foot right across. Umpire Kumar Dharmasena's finger didn’t wait for a second before being raised to sign the end of Finch’s innings. However, the opener, thanks to his big stride, thought the ball might have missed the leg stump and that’s why decided to go for a review.

While India were confident, what flashed on the screen took their happiness away in a flash. Ishant’s front foot was on the line and nothing was behind it, making it a no-ball. Umpire didn’t even have to check the ball-tracking and asked Finch to continue the innings.
