IPL 2019 | Jasprit Bumrah has recovered well, informs Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians has informed that Jasprit Bumrah is recovering well after his injury scare in the final over of the Delhi Capitals' innings, and will be assessed again on Monday. The pacer tried to field during his own bowling in te match, losing his control and injuring his shoulder in the process.

Mumbai Indians' bowling attack was taken apart by Delhi Capitals especially by Rishabh Pant, who smashed an unbeaten 78 off just 27 balls. Rohit Sharma made use of six bowlers and all of them leaked runs at an economy of over 10, which took the Shreyas Iyer-led side's total to 213 for a loss of 6 wickets.

Bumrah was bowling to Pant in his final over, when he tried to stop the ball with his left hand and fumbled the first time before trying to dive, only to fall flat on the ground. To add injury to insult for the Mumbai Indians fans, Bumrah was seen writhing in pain sending a silence all around the Wankhede Stadium.

All the talks of the World Cup probables managing their own workload and staying safe had come in front of the eyes as Bumrah was lying on the ground just two months before the World Cup in England and Wales. Rohit Sharma and Pant surrounded him straightaway and the Mumbai Indians physiotherapist Nitin Patel came running towards him to attend him.

The pacer dragged himself to the dressing room failing to move his shoulder even once in the process and couldn't come to bat in the last four balls of Mumbai's innings. However,  Mumbai Indians have now informed that the player hasn't suffered anything serious and was recovering well.

"Jasprit Bumrah has recovered well. We will be assessing him tomorrow as well," reported PTI.

Indians fans and management will be following the developments closely hoping that it was a minor one and that the pacer should recover soon.
