LIVE Intercontinental Cup | India vs Syria – Match

India will be playing Syria in a dead rubber as the Blue Tigers are more or less out of the tournament after losing their first two matches and shipping in nine goals. However, with the manager now claiming that he has found his first eleven, fans would be hoping for an improve show today.

INDIA'S PREDICTED LINEUP

With Igor Stimac spelling it out that the Intercontinental Cup scores don’t matter to him at all as he is building a side for the World Cup qualifiers, the defending champions have suffered the worst fate in the tournament this time. Amongst the rare positives have been Sahal Abdul Samad, Udanta Singh, and Lallianzuala Chhangte, who are expected to feature in today’s match.

As far as mathematical calculations is concerned, India conceding the enormous amount if goals had left them requiring to beat Syria by more than six goals and still won’t be assured if getting a chance of making it to the final for Tajikistan would be needing to beat DPR Korea in their match. However, DPR Korea have won 1-0 against Tajikistan making India's match inconsequential.

India couldn’t really be called shoddy in the attacking line as they have scored four goals in two games and they have looked dangerous when they are on the attack. However, it is their backline that has disappointed them again and again and Stimac would be struggling to make it up with Sandesh Jhighan and Anas Edthodika out with injury.
