Arsene Wenger has revealed that Manchester United cannot fight for the Premier League title this season, adding that he does believe that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a plan in place. The Red Devils have struggled to make an impact in the league so far, with just one win in their first four games.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done a lot of surgery on the team he inherited from Jose Mourinho, letting go of a whole host of players including Alexis Sanchez, and Chris Smalling. That has brought about concerns of squad depth for the Red Devils, but theyā€™ve somehow managed to hurdle that issue so far. Their three new signings Daniel James, Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have been arguably their three best players, but their young squad has caused a few concerns.

So far, Solskjaer has named the youngest starting XIs on average and that has seen Arsene Wenger insist that Manchester United are not ready to challenge for the title. But the former Arsenal boss does go on to add, that he does believe Solskjaer has a plan in place and one that will eventually help the Red Devils moving forward.

"When you see Man Utd, they are one of the examples where there is a potential there. But they have not found a collective way. Maybe these players are not mature enough to carry the team play of a team like Man United, altogether. That is the question mark now. You feel there is something coming out but it's not ready," he told beIN Sports.

When you watch them play, they are not a candidate to fight for the championship. Will they emulate what (Ryan) Giggs, (Paul) Scholes, (David) Beckham did over a number of years? Personally, I'm not convinced," concluded Wenger.
