The French Open is known to be the most gruesome of all the Grand Slam tournaments and it has produced some of the most cherished moments in the history of tennis. We are just one game a piece away from defending Champions Novak Djokovic taking on nine-time winner Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals.
Although this specific year was marred by some famous names backing out of the tournament namely Serena Williams, Roger Federer, and Maria Sharapova, who was denied a wild card entry into the championship, but the tournament has not been a disappointing affair as it has produced some miraculous results with some of the favourites still in the mix battling it out for the title. The major upsets noted in the tournament were the elimination of the number one seeded Angelique Kerber in the first round of the tournament and big names like Tomas Berdych and last year's title winner Garbiñe Muguruza bowing out early in the tournament.
