Mitchell Johnson chooses world's best batsmen ; Kohli misses out
Former Australian spearhead Mitchell Johnson has picked MS Dhoni, AB de Villiers, Steven Smith, Joe Root, and Kane Williamson as the five best batsmen of the world. But the Aussie bowler has left out two modern day stalwarts Virat Kohli and Hashim Amla from his list.
Mitchell Johnson, who created terror among the batsmen with his pace and accuracy, has come up with his five best batsmen of the present day. Whilst every selection seems perfect, only the inclusion of Indian limited over skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni over Test skipper Virat Kohli appears little confusing- as the list is solely on their batting credentials.
AB de Villers, who has created an aura around himself by being arguably the greatest dasher of the generation, found his name in Johnson’s tweet alongside Indian skipper MS Dhoni, Australian skipper Steve Smith, Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson and England star Joe Root.
Johnson tweeted,
Top 5 batters Dhoni , AB, Smith, Root & Williamson

Followers all around the world replied with their queries about the exclusion of Virat Kohli and Hashim Amla.
A follower replied,
@MitchJohnson398 boss Kohli? Amla?

Johnson replied him with
@HaqparastPak how could I forget Amla #class

There had existed a bitter rivalry between Virat Kohli and Mitchell Johnson in India’s 2014 tour to Australia where Kohli took a special liking towards Johnson and hit him comfortably. Johnson, however, also got the Indian talisman out 3 times in 6 innings on that tour.
Johnson retired from International cricket after the team's Ashes defeat to England in 2015.
