India to play Bangladesh and New Zealand as practice games ahead of World Cup
India’s two practice matches have been scheduled against Bangladesh and New Zealand ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup as each participant team at the tournament will play two practice matches. The quadrennial event is scheduled to start in England and Wales later this year from May 30.
All the ten participating teams at the ICC Cricket World Cup will play a couple of practice matches before the start of the event on May 30. India’s warm-up matches have been scheduled against Bangladesh and New Zealand.
"The fixtures will be held over five days between May 24-28, and will be hosted at four of the official Tournament Venues; the Bristol County Ground, Cardiff Wales Stadium, Hampshire Bowl and The Oval," the ICC said in a statement.
The Indian team will play New Zealand on May 25 at the Oval and the second match will be played against Bangladesh on May 28 before they play their first round-robin stages match. The practice matches could be participated by all the 15 members of a squad and would not have the official status of an official ODI match.
