8 Things you missed | From James Vince's cameo to Joe Root's intensive training
Another day of cricket in England. Another win for the England cricket team. You might still be on the high that India provided in their win against Pakistan so you might have decided to skip this game. Don't worry! We have a list of the very best things from the game and there are eight of them!
Vince’s cameo!
James Vince, who came as a replacement for Jason Roy, opened for England today. Though he was not as impactful as Jason Roy, Dawlat Zadran could surely feel the impact.
Gulbadin Naib tried to stop Morgan from reaching the crease!
Eoin Morgan tried to cut the delivery away, left his crease to take a single and then realised that the ball was still near his foot. As Morgan tried to make it back into his crease, Naib tried to pull the English skipper from the back to impede his progress. Also, there was a flick at the striker’s end to effect a run-out but Morgan was well inside.
Collective effort to drop Rehmat Shah!
Jonny Bairstow dropped Rehmat Shah early in the innings. Rehmat Shah had a thick edge that flew at a good height to first slip and hit Bairstow on his chest and lobbed out. Joe Root also made a last attempt from the second slip but the ball bounced in front of him.
Nabi was running everywhere but not towards the ball!
English opener James Vince got a massive top edge and the ball swirled over mid-wicket. Afghan allrounder Mohammad Nabi misjudged it completely and dropped it.
That’s how champions train!
Joe Root, who has literally been the root of this English side, was having an intensive field training before the game against Afghanistan. No wonder why he is such a consistent performer. Just look at how he trains.
Cheerleaders in England!

Afghanistan made it too boring for English fans!
Everyone knew that it was almost impossible for Afghanistan to chase 398 against England at Manchester. And Afghanistan’s chase was so dull that English fans started leaving the stadium in the middle of the game.
