‌ZIM vs IND | Twitter reacts to Ngarava lost in the clouds as Yashasvi lives cat’s life

Fortune favours the brave and the Indian openers did seem audacious in their stroke selection against Zimbabwe in the third T20I. In the process, Yashasvi Jaiswal was about to be dismissed but a lacklustre effort from Richard Ngarava allowed his survival at the Harare Sports Club.

Winning the third consecutive toss in the series, Shubman Gill’s decision to bat first was backed up by a measured approach by Yashasvi Jaiswal and the captain himself. They racked up 55 runs inside the powerplay despite a few false strokes before a four-run seventh over from Sikandar Raza forced the pair to accelerate further.

The fourth ball of the eighth over saw Tendai Chatara bowl a fuller delivery well outside the stumps that Jaiswal tried to premeditate for a ramp. But the southpaw was a tad late to get in place to execute the stroke from outside the line and eventually got a top edge. The ball ballooned up towards the short fine leg region where Richard Ngarava seemed more like a sky gazer. He failed to judge the ball midway in the air and allowed the white cherry to drop in front of him. Realising a regulation catch had gone begging, Chatara was seen agonising, leaving the Twitterverse abuzz.
