Confusion often arises in intense matches, yet it falls upon the fielders to minimize the conceded runs. This was evident in the clash between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, as a miscommunication between David Miller and Vijay Shankar resulted in additional runs for Gujarat.

Asked to bat first by Gujarat skipper Shubman Gill, the home team got off to a blazing start as CSK's opener Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra swiftly amassed 58 runs in just five overs. Even after Rachin's departure, CSK's scoring spree continued with Ajinkya Rahane joining Gaikwad, propelling the team to 84/1 by the eighth over. The side capitalized further on a costly misfield by Gujarat's Vijay Shankar and David Miller, securing an extra boundary.

In the ninth over bowled by Sai Kishore, Rahane directed the Kookaburra towards deep mid-wicket for a single. As David Miller and Vijay Shankar rushed to stop the ball, confusion ensued over who would retrieve it first, resulting in the ball rolling away towards the boundary line. Meanwhile, Rahane and Gaikwad ran and took four runs due to the misfield.  This moment sparked laughter in the Chennai Super Kings dugout while Gujarat's fielders appeared visibly frustrated.

The incident soon became a talking point on social media, with Twitter users sharing their amusement and reactions to the comical mix-up.
