PV Sindhu, in the women’s singles will be up against Nitchaon Jindapol in the second round and will have an aim of sailing through to the next round easily after a good outing in the first match of the Australian Open. Sai Praneeth, on the other hand, in men’s singles will have to face Anthony Ginting and will be expecting to repeat his performance from the first round. However, winning against the second seed player will take some doing for the Indian. 

Parupalli Kashyap and Sameer Verma are the two other players who will be in action in the second round of the tournament down under. Kashyap will play Lin Dan in a tough encounter on Thursday while Verma will meet Wang Tzu Wei in his second game. After qualifying from the all Indian first round game, the men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will face the Chinese pair of Ll Junhui and Liu Yuchen.
