Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Ashish Nehra will miss the next two matches of his team after the left-armer suffered a groin injury during the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday. Speaking to the media after the side’s 45-run loss, skipper Warner confirmed the pacer’s injury.

After losing all-rounder Yuvraj Singh for the first two weeks of the Indian Premier League, Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered another blow on Tuesday after pacer Ashish Nehra hurt his groin during the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Hyderabad team lost the match at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru by 45 runs, and speaking to the media after his side’s loss, skipper David Warner confirmed the news about Nehra’s injury and said that the pacer will be out for a couple of games.

“Nehra has hurt his groin. He will be out for a couple of games,” said Warner, reported PTI.

The left-armer, who played for Chennai Super Kings in the last edition of the IPL, had limped off the field after bowling 2.1 overs in his debut game for the Sunrisers.

Speaking about the team’s loss, Warner rued the loss of wickets in a clump after the side got off to a good start making 86/1 in nine overs.

“We have to look back and look at positives and turn it around. We have a good batting track at Hyderabad. We should not lose wickets in clumps,” said Warner.

Sunrisers Hyderabad will next face Kolkata Knight Riders in their second match of IPL 2016 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket stadium in Hyderabad on April 16.
