India won't respond to England's sledging, says Wriddhiman Saha

Indian wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha has claimed that the team has decided not to respond to England if they decide to use sledging in the upcoming Test series. The 32-year-old has also praised the dressing room atmosphere and how it is better than what he has experienced with his state side.

"Well if you react they do it more. That's the plan. We didn't sledge against New Zealand. England and Australia like to sledge and we know that," Saha said, reported IANS.

Saha also spoke about how approachable Anil Kumble is as a coach and that his sense of humour is reflected in the dressing room.

"The dressing room atmosphere with the Indian team is better than what it is here with Bengal and in form of club cricket you can say.

"Like it is very serious here (with the Bengal team), it's not like that when I am with Team India.

"He (Kumble) is always willing to guide you. He has a sense of humour and that reflects in the dressing room which is so relaxed.

"We have won two Test series on the trot so everything is going well as far as (captain) Virat (Kohli) and Anil bhai is concerned," Saha, who contributed significantly in India's 3-0 whitewash of New Zealand, told the reporters.

The wicket-keeper is known for his patience with the bat—a style which is not too popular among the present generation of cricket fans. But, Saha is not overly bothered about that. He stressed on how every batsman has a different approache to his batting, and that he likes to spend a lot of time at the crease.

"Every batsman has his own approach. Some score few runs playing a lot of balls and some cannot survive a lot of balls. I like to play a lot of balls when I am batting," he explained.

When asked about how confident the team is ahead of their series against England, he sharply said, "At home, we are the favourites."
