Rangana Herath set to hang up his boots after first Test against England
Veteran Sri Lankan spinner Rangana Herath will call time on his career with the Sri Lankan Test team after the first Test match against England at Galle. Herath made his debut back in 1999 and has bagged a total of 430 wickets from 92 matches in the longer format for the national team.
After the retirement of Test Cricket’s all-time leading wicket-taker - Muttiah Muralitharan, compatriot Rangana Herath emerged as the likely candidate to fill in the huge void left by the wrist spinner.
