Sometimes you have to be daring to get under the opposition's skin and make an impact in the game. Former Indian captain and stalwart Virat Kohli is a trendsetter of the aforementioned statement as he silenced the Adelaide crowd with a fiery send off to Marnus Labuschagne in the first session.

Overnight batters Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne failed to grow their partnership in the morning session, courtesy of Jasprit Bumrah brilliance. However, the Indian spearhead failed to get support from the other bowlers, allowing Marnus and Travis Head to pile up quick runs on the board and inch near India’s 180-run total. With the former growing confident with the bat, Nitish Kumar Reddy came to India’s rescue making way for a fiery sendoff.

Following six runs in his first over of the day, Reddy bowled a couple of dots against Marnus before testing him outside the stumps. The Andhra all-rounder dished a good length delivery well outside the stumps, asking the batter to throw the kitchen sink at it. The ball got him high at the bat’s surface on an intended cut and Jaiswal swerved to his right to grasp the ball firmly at the gully area. Seeing the lightning-fast reflex from Jaiswal complement Reddy to get the much-needed breakthrough, Kohli followed suit with a fiery send off at the trudging off batter and the Adelaide crowd by putting his finger at the lips, gesturing them to stay silent. The Twitterverse quickly reacted to Kohli’s charged-up version not letting down his emotions slip away at the Adelaide Oval.
