With the lack of financial teaching in school, monetary earnings at a teenage level can get quite tricky to handle. The Indian Premier League’s recent young sensation, Vaibhav Suryavanshi seemed to be sailing a similar boat after getting out cheaply against Pakistan following mega auction hype.

Pakistan’s decision to bat first after winning the toss in the arch-rivalry clash of the 2025 U19 Asia Cup paid dividends with Shahzaib Khan’s 159 and Usman Khan’s 60 setting up a 281 runs total on the board. Eyeing a formidable chase, the Indian openers looked struggling against the Pakistan pacers with Vaibhav Suryavanshi following suit his partner in no time.

Suryavanshi, who was bagged for INR 1.3 Crores by the Rajasthan Royals during the IPL mega auction, seemed uncomfortable against the Pakistani bowlers at the start of the second innings. He got a couple of thuds at the abdomen and limb to start off the innings before facing eight dots and departing, courtesy of a length ball from Ali Raza. The pacer bowled widish outside the stumps and the batter pushed at it, to end up with an outside edge to the keeper. Seeing the batter’s confidence surge low after earning a Crorepati contract in IPL, the Twitterverse exploded.

SOORYAVANSHI goes for 1. :o
