Usain Bolt switches From 9.58 seconds to 90 minutes
Usain Bolt is all set to undergo a trial with German top-tier side Borussia Dortmund later this March in a bid to kick-start his footballing career. Bolt has reportedly also held talks with Sir Alex Ferguson regarding a potential deal with the Manchester United if everything goes as planned.
Bolt has pretty much won it all, as far as track events are concerned, securing gold medals in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100 meter relay events. His record for finishing the 100m sprint at 9.58 sec is the crown jewel of his athletic career but he has different plans for the future. Bolt is set to have his first professional football trial with German club Borussia Dortmund this summer in March, which has been arranged by the club’s sponsor Puma, who also sponsor the Jamaican athlete.
'In March we're going to do trials with Dortmund and that will determine what I do with that career, which way it goes. If they say I'm good, and that I need a bit of training, I'll do it,' the eight-time Olympic gold medalist told the Express in an interview.
Bolt added that the idea of playing professional football makes him nervous.
