Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes that if Paul Pogba leaves Old Trafford in the near future, it wouldn't be a as big a loss for the club as many imagine. The Frenchman has been through a rollercoaster spell ever since he returned to and has been constantly linked with a move away.

The World Cup winner hinted that he might leave Manchester United for either Spain or France during the summer window but no move materialized. The transfer saga also saw his brother Mathias Pogba go on the record to say that Zinedine Zidane admires his younger brother and would have loved to have him at Real Madrid. In the end, however, no move ever occurred as Real Madrid were unwilling to met the valuation set on the Frenchman, which would have made him their record signing.

It has seen Manchester United Legend Paul Scholes reveal that Paul Pogba staying or going makes no difference to the club.  Speaking exclusively to TalkSPORT, Scholes went on to say that while he does believe that Pogba wants to leave the club, the Frenchman's loss will not hurt the Red Devils.  The Champions League winner goes on to add, that the 26-year-old has been far from consistent and letting him go, is the same as letting him stay.

“I think it’s quite clear he wants to leave the club.  He wanted to move to Real Madrid [in the summer] and for whatever reason, it didn’t happen. If they ask him to stay for a year then we’ll see what happens. But I don’t think it will be a big loss to United [if he does go]. At the end of the day his form hasn’t been great anyway over the last three or three years he’s been there. “I’m sure there are more players there who can step in and do just as good a job," said Scholes to TalkSport.

The Manchester United legend who also played alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Rudd Van Nistlerooy and a few other world class forwards also gave his opinion on United’s current attacking line-up and how the line-up lacks experience and depth. After the departure of Romelu Lukaku, the Red Devils' attack has been handed to young players like Marcus Rashford, Daniel James and Mason Greenwood.

“That’s the one thing that disappoints me. He [Ole Gunnar Solskjaer] obviously knew they were going to sell Lukaku at some point, but not to have a centre-forward lined up seems like a mistake to me. “Whether they did, whether it dragged on too long from the club’s point of view, I don’t know,” the former Red Devils midfielder told talkSPORT.
