The 3rd and 4th match of the Indian Eveā€™s tour to South Africa was played against South Africaā€™s U-21 team at Stellenbosch. The first match played on Tuesday witnessed the visiting team triumph over the U21 team by a score of 3-1, and then follow it up with an emphatic 8-0 victory on Wednesday.

The match started with both teams being overtly defensive. The home team managed the first and only breakthrough of the Indian defence in the first quarter through Tegan Fourie. Thereafter, the Indian team pressed on the accelerator with Rani scoring the equalizer in the first quarter itself. Poonam Rani extended the lead in the second quarter through a field goal to put India at a lead of 2-1. The third goal for the visitors came via a penalty corner conversion by Deep Grace Ekka thereby securing a comfortable win for the Indian Eves.

In the second match of the ongoing South Africa tour which was played today left the audience astonished as team India left no room for the home team to secure any goal. Displaying an immense maturity on the field from the last match India defeated South Africa (U21) team with anĀ 8-0Ā scoreĀ on the board. It was quite engaging to witness Vandana Kataria, Rani, and Preeti Dubey from Team India take back to back field goals with Gurjit Kaur adding to the score line by converting a penalty corner.

India will next play the Scotland national team on 25th February 2016.
