Indian Eves defeat Scotland to continue their winning run on South African Tour

The Indian eves continued their winning run with a victory over the Scottish national hockey team in an attacking master class. The Indian team followed up their triumphs over the South African national hockey team and their U-21 side with another convincing win by a scoreline of 5-0.

The first period of the match started with the Indian eves looking for an early goal but the Scottish defence refused to give away any clear short at the goal. The first period ended with the score at 0-0. The Scottish team tried to make a comeback in the second period but the Indian team refused to give away any ball possession. The Indian team came close in the ending moments of the second period to score but no goals were registered. The first half ended with the scoreline of 0-o.

The third period started with the Indian team looking determinant to score.  The breakthrough came in the third period from a penalty shot conversion by Rani in the 37th minute. Rani soon made it 2-0 for India with a penalty corner conversion in the 42nd minute. Deepika made it 3-0 for India on the 45th minute through a field goal.

India continued the momentum into the fourth period with Anuradha Devi Thokchom scoring the fourth goal in the 54th minute. Gurjit Kaur registered the 5th goal for the Indian team from a penalty corner conversion in the 59th minute establishing a strong win for India. The match ended in 5-0 win for the Indian team.
