David Warner equals Sachin Tendulkar for most 150-plus ODI scores

David Warner’s dazzling knock of 179, his personal best in ODIs, against Pakistan in the 5th ODI took him to five ODIs scores of 150 or more, equaling the record previously held by Sachin Tendulkar. The southpaw had featured in a record-breaking opening stand of 284 runs alongside Travis Head.
Records were shattered throughout the day at the Adelaide Oval, as Australia won the five-match ODI series against Pakistan 4-1 after thrashing them 3-0 in the Test series.
Batting first, the home side posted a total of 369 runs in 50 overs – the highest-ever at Adelaide – thanks two brilliant centuries by David Warner and Travis Head at the top of the order. Warner scored his fastest 50, off 34 balls, and his fastest 100, off 78 balls, as he recorded his highest ODI score against a hapless Pakistani attack.
With his knock of 179, Warner now has five 150+ scores in the ODIs, equaling the record previously held only by Sachin Tendulkar.
Travis Head, on the other hand, scored his maiden ODI century as the duo produced a partnership of 284 for the first wicket – highest ever for Australia, and the second-highest opening stand in the ODIs just two runs behind the record held by Sanath Jayasuriya and Upul Tharanga.
Pakistan produced a respectable chase in the second innings, courtesy of another brilliant knock by Babar Azam, but eventually fell short by 57 runs.
