According to a report, the list of 971 registered players for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) auction has been pared down to 332 candidates. The said auction, organised for the thirteenth edition of the marquee T20 league, is scheduled to be held in Kolkata on December 19.

The IPL management has, according to a report by the Sportstar, sent a record consisting of 332 players who have been shortlisted for the much-awaited IPL 2020 auction. The final list of players has been conveyed by the IPL management to all the eight franchises involved.

According to the aforementioned report, the list features 19 capped Indian players, along with 24 new candidates. The set of new applicants reportedly sport the likes of Kesrick Williams, Mushfiqur Rahim and Adam Zampa. The players have been divided according to categories of capped and uncapped players, with the bidding war starting with the former category.

The report also included a piece of information about the scheduled start time of the auction, which is 10 am, but could be pushed further. The BCCI is set to have a word with the broadcaster, and if the latter agrees then the auction will be moved to a better time slot.

The Board is likely to make the entire list of shortlisted players public on its website on Thursday, December 12.
